Give the Funda(description) behind this Album Cover of an iconic rock band. Looking for something specific here. Somehow, the band gets related to what's shown in the picture.

ANSWER- Most of you got it right. The complete answer, however, was given by Tushar "imbenzene" Rao, m7 and our very own Arch. The Hindenburg airship was build by the 'Zeppelin company', hence the name Zeppelin to the aircrafts. Rest is mentioned in the comments.

Cover of Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin. The members of the band thought it would be a failure like the Hindenburg Zeppelin, which is shown in the picture, hence giving the band its name.

Led Zeppelin's front cover. Features a black-and-white image of the burning Hindenburg airship.

John Entwistle were discussing the idea of forming a group, Moon joked, "It would probably go over like a lead balloon", and Entwistle allegedly replied, "...a lead zeppelin!"

led zeppelin's self titled album. the picture is that of the hindenburg burning, and refers to the joke by keith moon, that a group consisting of him, jimmey page, jeff beck and john estwistle would fall down faster than a lead zeppelin.

ok this was a question in one of the quizzes i had made for the wednesday quiz meets, so here comes my elaborate answer:

When Jimmy Page was assembling the group, Keith Moon (drummer from The Who) got word of his plans and predicted the group would go down "like a lead balloon" (this is a common English expression). Bassist and keyboardist John Entwistle thought it would be "more like a lead zeppelin." Page took the phrase and manager Peter Grant changed the spelling to "led" in order to avoid mispronunciation.

The choice of Zeppelin in the band's name was surely influenced by the Hindenberg disaster of 1937. The newsreel of the event, complete with Herbert Morrison's famous Oh, the humanity line, was commonly seen footage in English cinemas during the 1950s and 60s and Page would certainly have been familiar with it. The band used an image of the crash for the cover of their first album. Moon's prediction could hardly have been more wrong. Led Zeppelin became one of the most popular, arguably the most popular, musical act of the first half of the 1970s and reputedly have sold more than 300 million albums.
