Food of the future!

X is a 1973 American sci-fi film directed by Richard Fleischer. It is set in a dystopian future. Much of the population survives on processed rations including X, which, advertised as being produced from "high-energy plankton" turns out to be processed human meat. Identify X.

Glen Jacobs

His real name is Glen Jacobs. He earned a degree in English Literature at Northeast Missouri State University, where he played both basketball and football. Most fans are aware that he is very outspoken in terms of politics and is even a member of the Free State Project. He hosted a podcast titled The Tiny Political Show under the pseudonym Citizen X (from March 16, 2007 to March 13, 2008) and ran a blog called The Adventures of Citizen X at AdventuresOfCitizenX.com and is also a contributor to LewRockwell.com.
If all that wasn’t surprising enough, he even owns an insurance company with his wife called The Jacobs Agency, which is located in Tennesse.
How do we know him better?

Daedalus

In the movie Birdman, the character of Michael Keaton has been compared to X, who in Greek mythology is the son of the master craftsman Daedalus, the creator of the Labyrinth. X and his father attempt to escape from Crete by means of wings that his father constructed from feathers and wax. X's father warns him that he should fly neither too low nor too high, because the sea's dampness would clog his wings or the sun's heat would melt them. But X ignored his father's instructions not to fly too close to the sun, resulting in the wax in his wings getting melted and him felling into the sea. Who is X ?

You Will Never Walk Alone....

Fans of Everton and Liverpool always debated who he supported. In an interview in 2008, he cleared the air.
"Here's the deal: my father was born in Everton, my family are officially Evertonians, so if it comes down to a derby match or an FA Cup final between the two, I would have to support Everton. But after a concert at Wembley Arena I got a bit of a friendship with Kenny Dalglish, who had been to the gig and I thought 'You know what? I am just going to support them both because it's all Liverpool.'"

'A' refuses to budge and feels betrayed. Sanity prevails and a deal is thus struck between the two.

The drama is around which two real life personalities and their agreement which proves beneficial to both in the long run?

Legal Tussles Uff....

Apple and Samsung have been in legal tussle for long over several patent issues. Both the warring parties have had there share of wins and loses. The story of the long drawn court battles began just days before the iPhone launch in 2007. But a very interesting point came when Galaxy Tab maker put forth an argument that the idea of the iPad wasn't original. Instead it was almost four decades old. The proof was given in the form of a minute long video from a movie.

Which geeky director's futuristic project became the basis of an argument to nullify the patent of the iPad by Samsung?

It's that time of the year

X is a universally known tune and according to the Guinness Book of World Records, it is the most recognized song in English. Its melody comes from the song “Good Morning to All”, a song composed for kindergarten children during the 1800s. In 1935, it was copyrighted by the Summy Company which were later bought by Warner Music in 1988. Many legal battles have since then ensued over its copyright status with many claiming that such a famous tune cannot be copyrighted. On 6 August 2013, the Curiosity rover on Mars made X the first song ever to be beamed back to earth from another planet. Id X.

His wish of having a strong representation of 'his tribe' through ________ , his love for a famous singer and one of her renowned songs, his upbringing in a family which owned a women's clothing store and his close association with a politician led to the designing and large scale manufacturing of ___________. He believed it contained all the elements of spirit, harmony, life, nature etc. The original design was modified to cut down the expenses due to one of the raw materials being very expensive.
Now, I want the name of the person, singer/song, the item in question and the expensive raw material ?

A Sports Movie:

X, a sport, was first introduced in Finland as Eukonkanto. There are different techniques to perform the objective of X. Like, Piggybank, Fireman, Estonian Style. The X World Championships have been held annually in Finland since 1992.

Tales have been passed down from one person to another about a man named Herkko Rosvo-Ronkainen. This man was considered a robber in the late 1800s, lived in a forest, and ran around with his gang of thieves causing harm to the villages. His act post the stealing part is said to have give the sport it’s name X.

The current five time champions of the sport are Taisto Miettenen and Kristiina Happenen.

A 2015 Hindi movie Y somewhat popularised the sport. Although, technically Y is a Sports movie, not many realised that they were watching one because of the unpopular nature of X.

What is the sport X and the movie Y?

Id X and Y.

X was created as an ad-free alternative to existing social networks, such as Facebook and Twitter.
The X web site was launched on March 18, 2014, complete with a manifesto that claimed to distinguish it from social networks such as Facebook. The site promised it would never sell user data, proclaiming that "You Are Not A Product".
The social network service officially launched on April 3, although membership registration was only by invitation.
X gained added attention in September 2014, when numerous members of the Y  community left Facebook following the controversial enforcement of its real-name policy, thought to be intended to exclude drag queens in San Francisco.
At its peak, the social network was processing more than 30,000 signup requests an hour.
It is estimated that 20% of sign ups remain active on the site one week after registration

The things you own end up owning you.

  • When X attempted to publish his novel publishers rejected it for its disturbing content. This led him to work on his most famous novel, Y, which he wrote as an attempt to disturb the publisher even more for rejecting him.
  • Writing in his spare time while working for Freightliner, Y was  initially published as a short story in the 1995 & was later expanded it into a full novel which—contrary to his expectations—the publisher was willing to publish
  •  Y was later adapted into a film which was a box office disappointment and the critical reaction was mixed, but a cult following soon emerged as the DVD of the film became popular upon release.
  • X later commented that Y ,the movie, was so good that he was “ sorta embarrassed by the book.”

Nonsensical Vocabulary

"A sophisticated rhetorician, inebriated with the exuberance of his own verbosity and gifted with an egotistical imagination that can at all times command an interminable and inconsistent series of arguments to malign an opponent and to glorify himself.”
A very famous speech made by then British PM Benjamin Disraeli taking a jibe at his opposition WE. Gladstone at Riding School, London, July 27, 1878.

Oh! mi Amor!

The term X was coined in 2011 by the blogger and critic Myles McNutt to describe the numerous scenes in a popular TV show in which some details of the plot are revealed during amorous activities. The term X has since been retroactively applied to similar practices in many earlier works, including the older shows Deadwood and The Sopranos (frequently set in a strip club), many older cop films (likewise) and even the 1930s comic strip Jane.
