A comeback story.
In 1990s X took loans from abroad and in their own country to expand their denim business overlooking the fact that other cotton fabrics were slowly replacing the demand for denim. As a result company incurred huge loses and found themselves in a sticky situation.
However the company bounced back with a debt restructuring program to become one of the largest manufacturer of denim in the country where it was established. Their comeback is considered to be a bench mark and a case study. It recently forayed into the E-commerce segment with custom clothing brand 'Creyate'.

Greed is good !
- X claims to have sent the first news report of a plane crashing into the WTC on 9/11. Top editors worried that they might miss publishing the first issue for the first time in the paper's 112-year history. Due to their offices being near WTC, they relocated to a makeshift office at an editor's home.
- The paper was on the stands the next day in which the most compelling story in that day's edition was a first-hand account of the Twin Towers' collapse written by then-Foreign Editor John Bussey who was stuck in a nearby building in the shadow of WTC.
- X won a 2002 Pulitzer Prize in Breaking News Reporting for that day's stories.

Aaj kuch toofani karte hain.
- In 1975, Pepsi began showing people in blind taste tests called the Pepsi Challenge in which they preferred one product over the other. This led Coca Cola to adopt X.
- However, due to the widespread outrage at X, Coca Cola had to roll back X and introduce what is now known as Y.
- In the history of business, X is most frequently mentioned as a cautionary tale among businesses against tampering too extensively with a well-established and successful brand.

Shaken, not stirred.
- In the summer of 1886, William Grant, set out to fulfil a lifelong ambition of creating the ‘best dram in the valley’.
- With the help of his seven sons and two daughters, William built his distillery in a single year. Their hard work was rewarded on Christmas Day 1887 when the first drop of spirit flowed from the small copper pot stills. William named his distillery X, Gaelic for ‘Valley of the Deer’.
- Over 120 years later, X is one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family owned and their whisky has become the world’s most awarded single malt.
