The inukshuk, the official emblem of the Vancouver Olympic and Paralympic Games, stands atop the misty peaks of Whistler Blackcomb mountains. An ancient symbol of Inuit culture, it traditionally acted as a directional guide or landmark and represents a human with outstretched arms.
Its abstract form is reminiscent of the Olympians who take to the podium to receive their winning medals. A moment of glory to forever remember the hard work and spirit that got them there. -
