The connect is Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. He founded the first two institutions alongwith the Sangeet Natak Akademi as India's first Minister for Education. He is also the co-founder of Jamia Millia Islamia.
MAMC is named after him.
Incidentally, 22nd February is his death anniversary. -
