The NTPC Electron Quiz Delhi Round was a much meeker event than one expected. Only 32 teams came, of which a majority were B-Schools. The Quiz was business oriented with some dashes of general trivia thrown in.
The Top 3 teams- NSIT (Roshan and yours truly), IMT Ghaziabad and FMS qualified for the National Round to be held on 20th of this month.
Quizmaster Kunal Savarkar did a decent job of presenting the questions. NTPC was extremely hospitable - providing free tea, snacks, lunch and t-shirts to all participants. However , they would have done a much better job by publicising the quiz a lot more. Apparently, very few people were aware of the quiz taking place.
Sample Questions :
1) Who wrote the book "What they dont teach you at Harvard Business School " ?
2) Identify this person, known as "The King of Junk bonds ".
3) Which Bank was founded in 1904 in San Francisco as Bank of Italy ?
4) Identify these people :
NSIT has a rich quizzing tradition. This blog aims to document the happenings at the NSIT Quiz Club. Also, we will preview and review quizzes in the Delhi Circle. Quizzers Rejoice!
