Brain over brawn

During the Vietnam War, the Americans had the technological upper hand but they could not foresee the guerilla tactics employed by the locals. One of the most famous strategies employed by the Vietnamese was a thousand kilometer long set of trails which the Americans called X after the Vietnamese resistance leader. The trail was a supply route to connect the North Vietnam to the South. Hidden from the US Air Force by three canopies of tree cover, it turned out to be a decisive factor in the War. Decoy trails were also set up to fool the Americans. Although the US Air Force used the notorious Agent Orange to burn down the forests around the trails, new trails were quickly created. Identify X, named after the first leader of the unified Vietnam.
