Answer: These are the Pioneer PDSP1 and the Yamaha YSP 1100 respectively. The unique thing about them is that they are Digital Sound Projectors, i.e. they're an alternative to surround sound speakers while providing nearly the same effect with just one unit, which in the above case are a 254 digital amplifier device and a 40 speaker array respectively.
