Answer: Pipli Applique art which gets its name from a village called Pipli [that lies somewhere between Bhubaneswar and Puri] in Orissa.

"pipli" applique work from the village pipli located midway on the bbsr-puri highway in orissa.involves stitching of exquisitely cut fabric designs on a broad monochrome cloth(usually).
also a major handicraft.......
