Tribute.

This lady deserved a lot of fame, fortune and accolades. However, death came in the form of cancer before her work got its due and she remains more or less forogtten. X admitted to a friend that it was her data that they had used, which had earned them Y. Give me the name of the lady and whatever else you can give.

Answer: Rosalind Franklin. X=Francis Crick Y= 1962 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine
Cracked by sharat, Debasish, Aviral, Naavin Pai, Gaurav Jindal, Chithananda, jj, ashwini_nit, SKG, apraman, krishnan, samdrisht singh.

Rosalind Franklin, she died so she could not receive the Nobel Prize which isn't awarded posthumously. Watson and Crick used her data for Dna model and got Nobel Prize

Rosalind Franklin. basically, using x ray cryst. techiniques she deciphered the basic structure(double helix) of a strand of DNA. apparently watson/crick duo ripped theirs off of hers..

Rosalind Franklyn is the lady in the picture. She had the X-ray crystallography data of the DNA double helix structure, to which, apparently, Watson and Crick had access. They went to publish this work and win the Nobel for Physiology. It is also claimed that Linus Pauling was close to solving the structure at almost the same time, he cudn cuz he wasn able to visit UK due to visa issues, I guess.

The woman in the photo is Rosalind Franklin. X is Francis Crick and Y is probably James Watson. The 'data' has something to do with the double helical structure of the DNA.
