The Bharti Vidyapeeth Quizzes

A fine day. Decent weather, notwithstanding the cold. And two quizzes. The day seemed perfect for a good outing. So, off I went to Bharti Vidyapeeth College of Engineering(BVCOE) for their IEEE fest Fervour.

Today is a special day for this quiz blog. We had been speculating when this would happen and today it finally did. Few questions in the Business Quiz were lifted verbatim from the quiz blog. These included the ones on Nuclear Readiness levels and "The Legend of Bagger Vance". The sad part is that neither of them were really business questions and hence, didn't deserve to be in the prelims.

The General Quiz seemed more original in content, since many of the questions in the prelims were easy and factual in nature, much like the quizzes back in school days. There was a large proportion of Sports questions and an entire round of audios which were more of the western stuff than any Indian music.

Stud of the Day:
1. Reason why Boeing planes are named 737,747,777 etc.

Duds of the Day:
1. Who has placed an offer to buy out Yahoo? (This is an unforgivable offence, no matter who the quizmaster is, since it was yesterday's news.)
2. Company nicknamed Big Blue.(I am surprised that this question wormed itself into both the quizzes, whereas it shouldn't have been there in either.)

Other qc members who attended the quiz are invited to put in more questions and answers. I am suffering from short-term amnesia.

The Stud of the day is a very old piece of trivia, known by most biz quizzers... so nothing great about the question, I think. It's the way gen quizzers know of "In which annie gives it those ones" [though i doubt any quizzer has actually seen it].

@Roshan
I think its sine and not cos.
And for all we know, the whole angle thing is a myth.
