Identify (Random)

1. Who/Why?

2. This ad created controversy due to its racist undertones. Which company?

3. Painter, Subject.

4. I knew him by wanting to play with him. We had Pantera open for ____(his band) in the U.S. and in Europe. When you get to the level of guitar playing that I'm at and that he was at, the air is pretty thin up there . . . Darrell was a really gentle spirit and pretty easygoing guy. Society is looking at this and saying, "This is heavy metal." That's not heavy metal, that's a random act.

An (im)modest tribute to the late Dimebag Darrell. By whom?

5. Formerly New Zealand's fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo. They now have a hilarious show on HBO. Among their hits are - The Robot Song (The Humans are Dead), Hiphopopotamus vs. Rhymenoceros.

6. (Wiki Lift) In his free time, he is a lieutenant in the Territorial Army. As "Assistant (to the) Regional Manager", he annoys his Wernham Hogg coworkers with his steadfast enforcement of the rules and sucking up to boss David Brent. He may be familiar to you as someone else. Who?

7. (Wiki Lift) Known as futbol de mesa in Spain and as biliardino in Italy, it is called _____ in the US. The regulatory body for this sport is the ITSF in France. The World Championships coincide with the FIFA World Cup every four years.

@udit - 2 is correct
@roshan - 1 is correct, the woman is Pooja Chauhan from Rajkot. I resent 5 :).
@peter - 6 is correct, Gareth Keenan from the Office (UK).
For 7, the term I was looking for was Foosball.

Clues -
3. Not recent at all. No film/music connect here. Both the painter and the subject are famous painters.

4. There are only a few thrash metal guitarists pompous enough to say this. It is not Kerry King. Kirk Hammett couldn't hold a candle to this guy (who has said as much on several occasions).

5. I doubt anyone will get this without a Google search. The answer is Flight of the Conchords. Until recently, all episodes were viewable on HBO.com, for free.
