BLITZKRIEG - GRAND QUIZ IN INNOVISION '07


This is to inform everyone that "Blitzkrieg - The Quizzing Sojourn" at Innovision '07 will be taking place on 5th October, 07 at 10:30am. Registrations will be on the spot and in teams of two. Teams of colleges and schools shall be allowed to participate.
Prizes: 1st prize: Rs. 1500
2nd prize: Rs. 1000
3rd prize: Rs. 500
The prize money may increase if we are able to get more sponsorship. I'm sure no one will mind this! ;)

The details of the event are as follows:

PRELIMS

There will be a preliminary round for qualification. 40 questions will be asked and 6 teams shall qualify for the finals

FINAL

This stage comprises of 4 sub rounds. All rounds are infinite bounds

  • 1st round - Dry Round
  • 2nd round - Visual Round
  • 3rd round - Whos Who?…contestants will guess a personality whose description will be given
  • 4th round - Audio Round

In all rounds the quiz master's decision will be final.

  1. He was born as Muhammad Yusuf Khan in Peshawar in a Pashtun family of twelve children. He was spotted by Devika Rani, who gave him a break in the Bollywood film industry. He was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 and has won the Filmfare Best Actor award 8 times. He has also done playback singing for Musafir (1957) and Karma (1986). Who is he?
  2. A prominent journalist and novelist, his first published work (in England) was an account of his own funeral. He has edited Yojana, an Indian government journal; The Illustrated Weekly of India, a newsweekly; and two major Indian newspapers, The National Herald and the Hindustan Times.
